This rebuild at 156 Elmwood Ave. in North York's sought-after Willowdale area is listed right now (october 2015) for $3.28 million. the 4,000 sf house was built on the site of an original NY three-bedroom 1.5 storey home that sold in Feb. of 2014 for almost $1.247 million (it was listed for $1.359 million) before being torn down to make way for the new house. Across the street from 156 Elmwood are a number of infill houses (see pix of row of stone houses with big stone on front yard.) There are some streets in the area -- Elmwood is destined to become one -- where these pricey new infill houses outnumber the original houses that are left.
